Treasures of the Clubhouse

Friday, May 15th, 2026

Join us for an exciting evening as we explore several of the rooms and passages of the clubhouse, “unearthing” treasures, and providing insights into our amazing heritage.

When did the Lawrence family live at No. 8 Park, and where did they relax and entertain? Who painted the portrait of George Washington in the Reading Room, and how did it come into our possession? And what about that handsome marble bust of Edward Everett which is the centerpiece of the Everest Bar?

Our guides will provide answers, while pointing out other treasures, and explaining how our clubhouse has evolved into the space we enjoy today. Please join us for a hearty buffet, libations, and a journey through clubhouse history that will amaze you and your guests!
